There are now three courses, The Squadron Boating Course, Boat Safe and Safe Boating. These courses are useful to all boaters, from the fisherman in an outboard to the skipper of a large cruiser or sailboat. All have convenient online courses. Go to these websites for more information:

Maximo provides private instruction at a reasonable cost. Call us to schedule an appointment.
Reservations
Call us Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm at 727.906.8833 to reserve your boat. Remember, members can maintain either 2 - ½ day reservations or 1 full day reservation at one time. Please remember only one reservation per weekend. We are on a first come first serve basis, so reserve early! Please call-in cancellations at least a day prior to your reservation. By doing this, we are able to help out another member that would otherwise be landlocked.
Boating Tips
The current Florida PFD (personal floatation device) requirements; children under 6 on vessels less than 26 feet while underway, all PWC (personal watercraft) operators and water skiers.
Boat Safe Kids' five most important tips for the first time boater:
- Always wear your life jacket when underway.
- Make sure you file a float plan with a responsible adult so they know where you are going and when you should return.
- Study and know the rules of the road so you are aware of which boat has the right of way.
- Keep a good look out for other boats. Even if you know the rules others may not, so you have to operate defensively.
- Always operate at a safe speed, at a safe distance from the shore and other boats, and in a responsible manner.
